This is a sharp and refreshing departure from conventional books about sex and relationship that are based on psychological theories and principles. “If those really worked,” writes Gary Douglas, “wouldn’t you have been free, expansive and joyful in your relationship a long time ago?” Funny, frank, and delightfully irreverent, Sex Is Not A Four Letter Word But Relationship Often Is, offers readers an entirely fresh view of how to create great intimacy and exceptional sex, and provides answers to questions you may never have thought to ask.
How can you use energy to attract the person you’re interested in?
How do you know where your partner wants to be touched?
How can you create sex unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before?
How do you create the relationship you truly desire?

This is a short read, in fact I had the entire thing digested before Amazon got around to sending my receipt for it, and I'm not a speed reader. :)There are several good ideas in here, and it was worth the reasonably small price tag for me to examine some of the better ideas, like the older couple that had a strong and successful love over time and what 5 factors were critical to the success, however I could just feel the painful processing that the main author is still going through over his ex-wife to the point it made me cringe a couple of times (hint, it's the source of the title). One of the best parts was in helping men to understand how they need to behave around women regarding the energy they are projecting toward her, specifically not being aggressively horny in their approach when with a woman and that was the best, most concise description of how to act instead I've ever seen. Kudos!
Since it is so short, the ideas are presented in a manner somewhere between stream-of-consciousness and well-outlined, linear progression that is easy to read, but occasionally I felt there was some wishful glossing-over of brass tacks, for example: I think sex is great, and many couples probably aren't doing it enough to keep their relationship/communion/unity healthy, but being female there's always a level of risk involved in (especially new) sexual encounters and I felt this point was lost in favor of being doggedly pro-casual sex - like the serious consequences were trivialized in favor of "all there is to gain in being open to everything," which is probably true for men, but less so for women due to the saddling of pregnancy and greater STD risk for females. One wrong partner can turn your life upside down with disease (or single parenthood), and while the message certainly wasn't "go all Spring Break, 24/7" it wasn't balanced enough in approach for me to feel good about, say, recommending it to a younger woman that may not be able to properly discern her partners yet. Guys however, will likely agree vehemently with everything said, and it's generally a good message for them to hear.

This book makes some very great points which you can understand clearly. I love this book very much. great job
Intriguing read with not so common sense. Will read it again. Explicit but helpful in parts. I would love to see this written for gay men.
Highly unusual look at the subject with lots of practical relationship value.
This book is loaded with pragmatic tools and wisdom for creating relationships and a sex life that not only work but that are amazing! Thank you, Gary Douglas!
A new way to think about things. Loved it.
Do you ever feel bogged down by your relationship? Read this book. Do you feel under appreciated? Read this book. If you want your relationship to go beyond this reality, read this book. It is a quick read but the info one gains is priceless.
Once again I've found a book that makes me stop and think about my own beliefs and how they have shaped my life. Thank you Gary and Dain, for pushing me to question if I am really willing to receive everything that I say I am. I read a book because it speaks to me and says "read me now" most of what I read are books that cause shifts in consciousness, and this is one of those books.
I just found Gary and Dain last year by a trail of crumbs and I am very happy to know them through the material they present. I can't wait to meet them in person. These two have tapped into the power that we all be and they know how to live in it.
